Cities sleep Cities wake Stumbling, struggling, running past For years have come And years have gone Histories engraved on every brick The trees they watch and giggle at them the people, what are they running for? The children, what are they dreaming of? Dreams, breathless and alluring Seemingly near And yet so far The skies, they have seen through the aeons Its children hustling for who knows what? With bated breath, as one awaits, I sit and wonder, Whose side to take..?

Alien town
She meows, disgruntled
In wintry chills
Murky charcoal skies, she watches
On lintels she licks
Her wounds
Her ticks
Her coat of snow
Her eyes like glowing emeralds,
Like planets of verdant milieu
Challenge my curiosity
Every waking morn...
My little cat who Im yet to name, comes to my garden each day and meows till her share of food is served. She is the only one I would like to befriend and I hope the feeling is mutual.
