Cities sleep Cities wake Stumbling, struggling, running past For years have come And years have gone Histories engraved on every brick The trees they watch and giggle at them the people, what are they running for? The children, what are they dreaming of? Dreams, breathless and alluring Seemingly near And yet so far The skies, they have seen through the aeons Its children hustling for who knows what? With bated breath, as one awaits, I sit and wonder, Whose side to take..?

The world can wait
Street children of Kolkata. Childhood cinders tucked in the daily struggle for survival. The streets their playground and their classroom. All the knowledge that will drive them in life dwells in the streets we walk everyday.
